A day at the playground

A few weeks ago, I had Little Miss Diva and Princess Goldilocks over for a slumberparty. A night full of fun :)

The next morning we all went to the playground to blow off som pentup energy. (oh not mine...theirs :) ) Their mom and Prince Charming came too.

We had a go at the swings, sandboxtoys, the ducks where a lot of fun aswell. :)

Love that expression from Prince Charming...that kid has the cutest facial expressions that I have seen.

After spending a few hours outside, where the sun didn't make an entrance, we went back home to enjoy som warm applepie!! YUM!!

It was the best applepie ever, unfortunately I never snapped a Picture of it to share with you. :(
But don't cry....I will most definitly bake it again. ;)

Stay tuned for this weeks recipe...coming tomorrow... :)

Prince Charmings birthday party

One of the major highlighs of this month was that this little guy had his first birthday and with that comes his very own first party! :)

I wish I had a kick-ass party like he had, I mean...the food and the desserts...yum!

Although he didn't quite like the cake part of it all...(I have great photos on that later)

We had to style him to the part so a little mohawk happend and he was all done! Don't think I have done a quicker one ever.... He didn't want to sit still long enough so to speak. :)

And before the guests arrived we snagged a photo with his Big sista's....and I have lots of them too...:) I just kept shooting until they were done and prayed that I had a few or at least one good enough. Truth to behold....I got one that was really good and a few hilarious ones.

A year can go by quickly....

wedding bliss

One of the major things that took me away from blogging this summer was the wedding between my brother and his darling wife. I helped them with the invitations, placecards/napkinholders, the booklet for every guest at the reception, the little cakeballs and a few other stuff. So you can imagine that my time was all about wedding for some time there. :)

It was fun, hectic in the end and time consuming, but fun! :)

One other thing I had on my checklist of things to do was Photography, they wanted someone to document their day and night and I was honored that they asked.

Here are a few selected ones I love:

More photos from August

One of the many things I did in august was spending time with my best friend and her family.
We visited Ikea once or twice ;), took her kids to the playground, the pool etc.

One of the good days of sun we had (there were just a few to remember), we took a stroll alongside the ocean. Late afternoon and it was just peaceful and quiet....if you could call it peaceful with kids in the picture...;)

We ended up at the mini marina and dipped our feet in the water.

One of many good days, and it was especially good since it was one of my last days before going back to work again.

With that I am offically caught up with july and august, now I have the rest of september and october photos to go through. I have about 150 photos from a previous wedding to sort and do a mild edit to.

Have a good week :)

July and August in Photos

So..not long ago I promised to put up photos of my summervacation. Well it took a bit longer than expected, but am getting there slowly. Been a hectic month from august to late september on both work front and home front. I will show you later on what has been going on on the homefront area.

My summer vacation was 3 weeks of full bliss, just took it day by day and relaxed. Spent time with family and friends and hung out with my nieces and nephiews a lot.

Collage above, we had a few good days so we took the time to go to the beach and had fun. Although the water was cold the first time around it turned out warmer later on. Explorations in the sand to find different seashells and what not amongst the seaweed.

We did find a ladybug aswell! Pretty cool, if you are a Fiveyear old that is. Now if you are two Five yearolds...well...the ladybug decided to fly away after the endless bickering of who got to hold it.
The standard lunch were pancackes or waffles :)

A trip down to a small petting zoo with a huge playground occupied one of those days and the little cookie, right photo above (aka Goldilocks) had her first sleepover this summer too. Oh was she proud or what the next morning ;).

Summer went by to fast but it was a well needed break from everything.

Stay tuned for more....;)

The trip part 1

We stayed at the beach when I went over to the states in april. One glorious week in Virginia Beach, didn't stay in one of my all time favourite places (the Cavalier)...but the cabin came pretty close! :)

here are a few of many photos I took during that stay:

We took a windy walk at the nearby birdsanctuary, and not seeing any birds :) But is was beautiful.

The sign in the above photo was from the first restaurants we ate at coming down to Virginia Beach.
We made fires pretty much every single day, and I got to eat at my favourite restaurant ever..EAT! :)

Daily walks on the beach were mandatory since we lived so close! Brisk and windy but very peaceful, even had the company of a flock of pelicans too. And we saw a few of our next choices of houses to stay in...right on the beachfront. SOoooo pretty! :)

That is our house...the crowd pleaser. Really cool, I liked it a lot. The groupshot is of everyone that was staying at the cabin the entire week.

I had a great time, met some great friends and reconnected with myself a bit.

Stay tune for part 2

Quality time with family

Every now and then you need some quality time with your family.
So this past saturday we drove down to Malmö and visited my sister and her boyfriend. Got to see their new apartment and the town.

First order of business was to visit the American Store and just reminice about all the good food you had when I was over last. (which wasn't that long ago and yes I still need to post those photos) :)

I got me som Milk Duds....Warning very addictive!! As you can see already... ;)
Some Icing, found a chocolate one and am going to try it out later on this week.
Oh and spray oil, so nice to have when baking. Am not a fan to grease my pans manually. :)
They had more stuff but didn't want to ruin myself by getting stuff just for no reason.

Besides....my sister lives there and can always find an excuse for her to bring home or when I visit. :)

They do have one great grafitti wall, a photoshoot there would be fun :)

We only spent a few hours in the city but I must say, much nicer than I believed it would be!

Happy Monday!

trampoline, sandcakes and soccer

WildChild #1 is learning soccer, now i do remember when my sister was in her age and doing the same thing. In other words....where there were a group of kids...that is where the soccer ball was to! ;)

WildChild #1 is the one in black and blonde hair. They did some games to warm up I suppose.
They had a waterbreak, not WildChild #1...she did some gymnastics. ;)

They hustled, made a game plan.... and most importantly....

they ran:

Imagine a bunch of 4-5 year olds running in a group, so cute to watch!
What was even more cuter to watch was WildChild #2...check his face expressions:

Wonder if he did find anything up his nose?! ;)

Cutiepie!!!! Little shy guy he is...

I am not a huge fan of soccer, so when I heard this little whisper from cutie above saying he wanted to go to the playground...I jumped for joy! (well on the inside that is) :)

We rode a motorcycle (not a real one), did some sandcakes in the sandbox...well I did the sandcakes. WildChild #2 bossed me around. And guess what he did to my sandcakes!!!! Evidence shown below:

And he kept promising that he wouldn't do it again....don't trust a 3 year old in the sandbox!!
Trust me!

After the practice we went home to my brothers house to hang out a bit and had a blast on the trampoline (think it is called that). Good exercise I tell you! Think I spent 30 minutes or more on it.

all in all...a fun day!

Can't complain on how to spend a sunday, really!

March 21, 2012

crafts, baking and just hanging out

This past saturday I got a phonecall from WildChild #1 asking if she could come over....and how could I say no to that! :)

(not going to be grumpy that I was like third person she called...;) )

Anywho...this little lady can't even come through the door before she says she wants to do some crafts! And crafts we did :)

Think I had glue on pretty much everything. (luckily it is waterbased...)
Can't believe that this little one is 5 years old!!! Talking like a little lady already and soo much fun to listen to.

We walked to the store to get some supplies for our baking session. Luckily she didn't handle the money cause I think she would have bought everything in there.

These glories were made, and yes I ate more than one. WildChild #1 only ate the icing!! :)
Fortunately we send some home with her when daddy came to pick her up.

A fun filled, action packed day with some downtime watching the movie "Up".

Couldn't ask for anything else to spend my saturday...

WildChild #2 is one year older

This monday WildChild #2 turned 3 years old!!
We all gathered and celebrated him this past weekend.

A funfilled and packed couple of hours with lots of gifts and sweets.

(warning photo overload up next)

amongst the presents were a racecar and he wouldn't
leave it for a second! (he was aiming for me in this photo, I was
laying on my stomach on the ground and had to move fast)

Inbetween riding the racecar he was dreading the ballons and
of course his sister couldn't help but not throw them around ;)

Turning Three is an ordeal! Here he got upset when we cut the cake.
The "lightening McQueen" picture got torned...
Not sure how he wanted us to eat the cake otherwise...;)

the cake right before it got eaten....

all I asked for was a normal close together photo, showing how
dearly they love eachother as brothers. This is what I got!....:)

WildChild #1 is in a fase where she can't act normal infront of the camera.
Could it be because she is related to the people in the photo above??! ;)
Anyway, we tried everything....and in the end...it came down to plain ole Bribery!!

Check out WildChild #1's face...somewhat happy.

nope not having it

seriously not having it.
The second after she smiled like a candycane!

Got one decent one of us all together...WildChild #1 with me and my brother.

All in all, I got a few decent shots in and my brother did a splendid job on the groupshots! :)

Wildchild #1 5th birthday

A few weeks a go we celebrated my nieces birthday...aka WildChild #1.
A festive day with lots of pink gifts and makeup.

My mom and WildChild #1 showing off their makeup....can say that all of it ended up later on WildChilds eyebrows. All glittery and all

Her birthday cake she decorated all by herself. All she ate....was the strawberries!

One of the gifts (from yourstruly) was a gigantic keybord which you can play with your feet. Even daddy and WildChild#2 had fun! The dog...not so much!

WildChild #2 literally had ants in his pants! Couldn't sit still for long, above photo is blurred but I do love it so much.

Goofying with his aunt and not letting me take a photo of them both.

By this recordplayer we sat most of the afternoon, WildChild#2 singing to the songs and serving me tea and biscuits!

Can't believe this little girl used to be this small:

Seriously...where did the 5 years go??!

She was a strong willed baby and to this day...Little Miss WildChild of ours!
